THE RULES

The covers open mic is open to soloists. All musicians need to have TWO-THREE songs. Although it is a COVER SONG open mic, if you have your own originals, we encourage you to play them. Also, no singing along to minus-ones / instrumental tracks.
 

This open mic is PLUG & PLAY. We provide 1 DI and 1 vocal mic only. Bring your own instrument cables, keyboard stands and additional bookstands etc. if necessary, but NO AMPS, please. All instruments go through our DI boxes.

Only acoustic guitars with pickups are allowed - ABSOLUTELY NO MIC-ing up of guitars. Keyboards are also allowed. Spoken word artists and stand-up comedians are welcome as well.

Register below to confirm your slot. Walk-ins on the night are allowed, but on a first-come-first-serve basis. There will be a MAXIMUM of 8 slots per night.
 

Be at the venue NO LATER THAN 7.30pm. Please register at the bar the moment you arrive. 

GUITARISTS,
Make sure your guitar has a pickup. We will not mic up your guitar. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CABLES.

BEATBOXERS,
Bring your own microphone or you won’t be allowed to perform.

EVERYBODY,
If you have to cancel your slot, do let us know at least 7 days in advance by writing to merdekarya@gmail.com. Otherwise we'll have to add you to our list of banned open micers.
